"Inaugural Group Exhibition"

Opening Announcement: Ladies and Gentlemen, Yan Gallery is pleased to announce it has relocated to the first floor of No.1 Hollywood Road, Central, and we are celebrating the opening with a reception on 28th January 2010. Since Yan Gallery started we have relocated three times and we are very pleased to have finally found this perfect new art place, which is spacious and convenient. Similarly over the past twenty years, following the tide of Chinese art, we have strived to obtain newer, better and more exciting works of art to show to our clients and friends. Over the years we have represented and promoted the best artists in China, among them are Wu Guanzhong, Wang Huaiqing, Xu Jiang, Jia Youfu, Pang Jiun, Xin Dongwang, Hu Yongkai, Fang Xiang, Yang Gang, Yang Mingyi, Bob Yan, Ming Jing, Liang Liqiang, Cao Xiaodong, Shen Jingdong, Chen Lianqing, Liu Kun, Liu Wei, Shi Wei amongst others. In our collection of over a thousand works we have pieces by modern masters lying along side up and coming talent, works on canvas and on paper, traditional as well as contemporary, realistic and abstract, as well as a fine collection of sculpture in various media. We wanted to receive our visitors in a comfortable and peaceful environment, which is why we invited Mark Lui to design the interior of our gallery. Mark Lui is Hong Kong’s top composer and is a graduate of Imperial College, London. His artistic vision is as impressive as his musical talent and, if you find that you are enjoying yourself in the new Yan Gallery and wanting to spend a while longer here, it is not just because you like the paintings on the walls, but because you feel comfortable in the environment, thanks to Mark Lui’s stylish design.
