《饮食男女》 你可以把李津的画跟朱新建、周京新等人的作品放在一起，是新文人画；也可以把李津的水墨画放到方力均，张晓刚等人的油画中去，那就是前卫派的代表。 李津是中国画科班出身，其作品线条优美、彩墨酣畅，造型耐看，幽默动人。画中的人物在吃在喝，在爱，在玩，过着最正常的生活，享受着世俗生活的幸福。 李津的妙，妙在他用最高雅的手段，传达最世俗的讯息：生活无罪，欲望无罪。李津乐意与我们分享他的愉快生活和他的艺术创作。 方毓仁 二零零二年初夏 "Eat, Drink, Man, Woman" Li Jin’s works are dominated by the simple pleasures of life-eating, drinking, bathing, execising, gardening, making love-all enjoyed to the full. Yet these everyday, utterly ordinary matters are endowed with a surprising elegance and sophistication by the artist’s mastery of the fine line and his delicate colouring. The subtly rendered figures have real depth and psychological credibility, and the overall effect of his work is a touching combination of humanity and humour. Li Jin’s work thus combines characteristics of the New Literati school, led by artists such as Zhu Xin Jian and Zhou Jing Xin with elements of the avant garde, as seen in the oil paintings of Fang Li Jun and Zhang Xiao Gang. Li Jin graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, where he continues to work as an Assistant Professor. While he has had several successful shows in Beijing, we are delighted and honoured to present this his debut exhibition in Hong Kong. It is the combination of the everyday subject matter expressed in a highly cultivated, picturesque style that makes Li Jin’s work so appealing to us . Pleasure is not a crime, but an intrinsic element of our existence. Life is to be enjoyed, and to the full. Li Jin is pleased to share with us through these paintings the everyday joys of his life.
